Radical Publishing Internship

Job Description: Looking for the opportunity of a lifetime?
Located in West Hollywood, Radical Publishing is looking for artists, business and marketing students to complete an unpaid internship with our comic publishing division. Business students will learn the ins and outs of running a comic publishing company. Marketing students will learn how comics are promoted and develop skills in PR creation and promotion. Artists will learn the process of comic and ad creation as well as develop photoshop and illustrator skills.
All applicants must:
- Have transportation to the Radical Office
- Be enrolled in a college internship course

Pro-Bono Artist needed

In search of…
A visionary artist to collaborate on the concepts and designs of multiple characters, settings and other aspects of a supernatural thriller with sci-fi elements.

Nancy Sexton & Alon Bar, owners of 4881 LLC, are looking for an eager and talented artist to help them bring fantastic, vibrant characters off the pages of one of their scripts, while adding visual context to the story.

3D Artist, Toontown Online

DIMG is seeking a talented, motivated and organized person, with the desire to work on a team to help produce great 3D assets for the Toontown Online MMOG. The job will consist of modeling, UV layout and texture painting environments, props and some character assets.

Required Skills/Software, etc:
Candidates must be working towards a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Arts or related fields.
Experience using Maya and Adobe Photoshop is required
Ability to model, UV and texture pain props and environments for loy poly models
Solid texture painting skills are required
Basic design knowledge such as colorr, composition and lighting is required.
Knowledge of Body Paint is a bonus; ability to model characters is a plus; solid illustration skills.

5 Days/week--40 hours/week
Salary Range $15-17

Graphic Design, Toontown Online

DIMG is seeking a talented, motivated and organized person, with the desire to work on a team help produce great graphics for the Toontown Website. The job will consist of many tasks including creating Toontown graphics using game captures and manipulating them in Photoshop, Flash and Illustrator.

Required Skills:
Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in graphic Desing or related fields
Must be available to work full-time for 10-15 weeks in the summer
Basic design and knowledge such as color, composition and typography is required
Solid Illustration skills are a bonus
Previous experience using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is required.
Knowledge of Flash (to create vector assets) is required.

5 Days/week--40 hours/week
Salary Range -$15-17

2D Artists, Cars Online

Disney Interactive Media is looking for interns!

Specific Job Duties:
The 2D Art Intern will work directly with the Art Diretors, Lead Designers and Senior Designers to create assets and/or assist with graphic and interactive designs. The intern will also support marketing initiatives by gathering assets for internal and external use.

Required Skills:
Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Art, Interactive Design or related fields
Must be available to work full-time for 10-15 weeks in the summer
Must have some design experience (Art background is a plus) Must be familiar with basic internet software and have a desire to keep up with new technology that affects our business and products
Have a solid understanding of design issues, text treatments and color. Must also be adaptable to the Disney design aesthetic
Basic Illustrator and Photoshop skills are required; must be willing to learn Flash.

5 Days/week--40 hours/week
Salary Range_ $15-17/hr

Disney Interactive Media is looking for interns
Specific Job Duties:
Under the supervision of the Art Director and senior Artists, the World of Cars 3D Art Intern will help create various 3D assets for Disney Online's latest MMOG, World of Cars. The intern will be responsible for 3D modeling, UV mapping and rending on a daily basis. Candidates should have experience using Maya, Photoshop, Illustrator and other design programs. The intern will also assist with other technical assignments as needed.

Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Art, Graphic Design or related fields.
Must be available to work full-time for 10-15 weeks in the summer
Basic knowledge and skills in creating 3D art
Basic skills and knowledge of Maya modeling, UV mapping and rendering is required. Basic Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator experience.

Intership--Blizzard--Game Tester

Blizzard Entertainment is looking for intelligent and highly motivated college students to help test our upcoming games. Job duties include database entry, documentation, working closely with a team of developers, and hours of game playing. An ideal candidate would be an avid gamer who is perceptive and is good at describing noteworthy issues he or she has found in an organized and clear fashion. Candidates must have a 3.0 or above GPA, be highly motivated, and have excellent written and oral communication skills. Please include a mock game analysis of your latest favorite video game with your resume and cover letter.

Game testers must be able to work full-time at our headquarters facility in Irvine, California. Applicants must also be available to work nights and weekends when required.

We are currently accepting applications for summer 2010 internships. Internships are available to students in undergraduate or graduate programs who will be returning to school upon completion of their internship. The application deadline for summer 2010 internships is January 31, 2010.
